Well, I am just getting all into this new broad spectrum of networking and interacting. It is a far cry from the person I once was. The shyness that was almost crippling has sloughed off for the most part and I have to say life is intensely more fun when you aren't terribly afraid of people.
So...here I am sharing with the world through my vox account and out through my last.fm account since I discovered I can news feed Pavonine gossip on my page.
Hello! to all of my listeners. =)
So... maybe I should explain some of the stuff that is on my page, yes?
The self-titled album is well, self-explanatory and if you would like any further information on it, I would suggest going to the Webbed Hand Records page as there is all to be known as well as the opportunity to listen to the other amazing artists available!
Katabatic Winds is a very very short little free album I made up after watching hours worth of documentaries on Antarctica and being infatuated with the environment. It is composed with freesound [freesound.org] and a few audio samples ripped from the docs. Free for download, enjoy it. I just find it a soothing bit of audio.
The War in the Bookcase is to be my next album which will be finished shortly. I am currently kept busy with school and haven't had the time to devote to its completion, but I am working on it when time permits and promise to have it out within the next month or so. I don't have any other details than that, but there's some previews up for you to hear if you're interested in where I am at. The next track, which I have open in another window right now working on, hah, is definitely representative of a lot of shifting I have had going on in just the day-to-day music I enjoy listening to. I have been getting braver and more adventuresome. Let's all toast to that, shall we? The stuff of life!
Plutopia 2009 was the material for a live performance I did for the Creative Commons Plutopia event at SxSW this year [2009]. I had great fun and enjoyed it doubly as I had released my album under Creative Commons license with Webbed Hand Records that same month so it was pleasant to give a hat tip back to the great work The EFF has been doing.
Ahh... The Old Innsmouth Road... When I live in Austin I decided to hold a dark ambient event in the cold, dead of winter that would feature music inspired by HP Lovecraft. At the time I was only working under the project title Naught for 3 which was a harsh, experimental noise bit of nonsense that was great fun. Love to Mr Lovecraft was my first venture into creating dark ambient sound and I never looked back. It is rather primitive in sound because at the time I only had a rinky-dink little laptop running Sound Forge. The entire track was special mixed and the waveform hand edited solely in Sound Forge with no other addition. I recently rescued it from a dying drive, cleaned it up, refined it, but left it primarily in its original state as it is a bit of history for me. This track was the birth of Pavonine.
Lastly, I have a remix folder. I would like to do more remixes of songs from various artists, but it will all have to wait until after War in the Bookcase is completed and I find the time during a break from school. Currently in the folder is a little one-off remix of "Lake of the Minde" by Blood of Kvasir.
Well then... there's an explanation of all that is currently available. In the future I will post when new things go up, events occur, or something interesting in the world of Pavonine happens. For now I will let you go and get back to this track.
ta!
